Online Marketing – a new world

The concept of online marketing has been around for a little while. In the United States, online marketing has been taken up with great gusto; “e-millionaires” are popping up everywhere! But what about in Australia? When is our online marketing boom going to arrive?

Online marketing, for both products and services, offers an endless list of opportunities and targeted markets. Customers on the other side of the globe can be reached within seconds; language and currency barriers are being eroded.

For many though, the virtual market is seen as a risky, complex and usually expensive place to get your business in to. However, like the temperature of the water at the beach, or the ingredients of a dish you can’t even pronounce let alone translate, you’ll never know until you try!

There are many misconceptions around online marketing and its barriers to entry. You don’t need to invest thousands upon thousands of dollars on the latest pieces of electronic and digital infrastructure. You don’t need to be a master of HTML or an IT technician who dreams of virtual sheep.

All you really need is the desire to move forward. Look around the place, pop in to a few shops, and ask a few questions. I bet you’ll find that the water’s not nearly as freezing as you thought it would be, and that weird sounding dish you ordered? Superb!
