7 tips for getting your small business on TV

I’ve brought these together in 7 tips for getting your small business on TV.
One more thing to bear in mind is that TV series can have very long lead times. For example, a travel show might be planned up to a year in advance. So don’t expect instant results.
Current affairs and daytime chat shows are more likely to pick up time-sensitive stories - such as an event or a new publication - and schedule them quickly. On the other hand, a producer might decide to film an annual event with a view to running it in the following year’s lead-up.
As with any publicity campaign, to get results, you have to be prepared to give the media what they want. The credibility you get from airtime exposure is well worth the patience.
