TWO new sites dedicated to online marketing resources
At various times over the past few months we’ve flagged our upcoming online marketing site. Well, for those of you who have been waiting with baited breath, we’re proud to announce not just one, but TWO brand new sites focusing solely on Online Marketing.
The first is OM4.com.au, which covers all aspects of Online Marketing 4 Small Businesses.
The second, OM4Tourism.com, as the name suggests, concentrates on Online Marketing 4 Tourism businesses.
The number 4 is significant not just as a lazy way to type the word ‘for’ but also because our online marketing model rests on 4 distinct marketing pillars: Content Marketing, Search Marketing, Email Marketing and Affiliate Marketing.
The foundation is Keyword Analysis – and you can read more about this and the four pillars in the articles and blog posts on both sites.
For those of you who are serious about your online marketing, go to the site that interests you most and sign up to the blog. This will ensure you keep up-to-date with the latest information and tips.

Not sure where to start? Get an Online Marketing Strategy
Marketing your business online means much more than having a great-looking website. In fact it can be a fairly complex process. Yet the potential for growing your small business is staggering.
To help you decide how to market online, we have a new service. An Online Marketing Strategy reviews your current situation and identifies alternative online marketing strategies to help reach your business objectives.
The cost is $1,200 inc GST payable in 4 monthly instalments. To sign up, click here.

Why one press release might not be enough
Here’s a simple story that shows why 2 messages are better than one.
The Sun-Herald in Sydney ran a one-page feature on Tribal Warrior’s Sydney Harbour cruise aboard the Deerubbun. The article was based on the personal experience of the journalist, who had decided to join the tour with a view to writing the feature.
This is just one example of a small business achieving excellent publicity. How can you get the same results?
The journalist in question told me how the story had come about: “I saw flyers for the Deerubbun where it was docked at the Fish Market and made a mental note to follow it up one day. I forgot all about it until a colleague then told me she’d received a press release about the boat.”
The press release was distributed by us in June, and it was this that prompted the journo to arrange the trip, resulting in the feature 3 months later.
Would just one flyer or one press release have done the trick? Possibly, but less likely. Note the comment: “I forgot all about it.”
That’s why we recommend sending out at least 3 press release messages. Keep your messages flowing from your business, and don’t be disheartened if one message doesn’t get you coverage.

An offer to kickstart your publicity
Is it time for you to take the plunge and distribute your first press release to the media? It needn’t be as daunting as it sounds, and to make it even easier, we’ve put together a special offer that gives you all the support you need.
The first 3 businesses to sign up for their first Press Release will also receive a Publicity Planning consultation with us.
Publicity Planning helps you to establish a publicity strategy that will take you through the next 12 months. It sets out a series of messages, defines your target audience, and recommends the media
most likely to reach them.
Once you sign up, we will contact you to arrange a time for a Publicity Planning phone consultation. You will receive a Publicity Plan based on the consultation. Then one of our journalists will work with you on your first Press Release to launch you off on your first campaign.
To find out more, go to our Publicity Planning Offer page.
